Service Description

Medical Reiki offers specialized Reiki support for individuals preparing for or undergoing surgery, medical procedures and other significant medical treatments. As a Certified Medical Reiki Master, I am specifically trained to provide Reiki within medical environments while working respectfully and unobtrusively alongside a patient's healthcare team. Your Medical Reiki experience is customized around you, your procedure and the level of support you need. Reiki may be provided before, during and/or after surgery or another medical treatment. Medical Reiki During Surgery When approved by your surgeon and medical facility, I can accompany you into the operating room and provide continuous Reiki while your surgery is taking place. During the procedure, I remain outside of the sterile field and work quietly and unobtrusively alongside your surgical team, typically providing Reiki from near your head while your physicians and medical professionals perform your procedure. If Reiki inside the operating room is not permitted, we can create another plan for supporting you before, during and/or after your procedure, including distant Reiki. Your Medical Reiki Experience Medical Reiki does not have to be a three-hour service. Depending on your procedure and circumstances, your Reiki support may be shorter in duration or may include three or more hours of continuous support surrounding your procedure. When appropriate, your Medical Reiki experience may also include a 5-Day Reiki Drip following your procedure. A Reiki Drip is distant Reiki provided over several days following your medical treatment. I describe it as being similar in concept to the steady support of an IV, except the Reiki is provided energetically and from a distance, so you can receive it while resting and recovering at home.
