What is Reiki?
A gentle practice for relaxation, connection and energetic balance.
Reiki is a Japanese energy-healing practice that uses gentle hands-on or hands-above-the-body techniques to create a calm, supportive environment for relaxation and well-being.
During Reiki, you simply allow yourself time to slow down and receive. Some people experience warmth, tingling or a sense of movement, while others simply notice deep relaxation, quiet or a greater sense of connection with themselves.
There is no particular way you are supposed to feel.
Reiki can be experienced in many ways, from a private healing session to distant Reiki, Medical Reiki, Reiki for animals or a shared group experience. At Life Healing Energy, your Reiki experience is always approached with care and personalized around what you need that day.
You don't need any previous experience with Reiki. Simply come as you are.

What Happens During a Reiki Session?
Your Reiki session is a time to slow down, get comfortable and simply receive.

You'll remain fully clothed while resting comfortably on the Reiki table. I may begin by talking with you briefly about how you're feeling and whether there's anything you'd like your session to focus on.

During Reiki, I'll work with a series of gentle hand positions, either lightly touching or holding my hands just above different areas of your body. You don't need to do anything during this time. You can close your eyes, relax and allow yourself to settle into the experience.

Every Reiki session is different because every person and every day is different. You may notice warmth, tingling, heaviness, lightness or other subtle sensations. You may feel emotional, deeply relaxed or simply very quiet. And sometimes you may not notice much at all.

There is no right or wrong Reiki experience. Your time is simply an opportunity to rest, receive and reconnect with yourself.
Medical Reiki?
People come to Reiki for many different reasons. Sometimes it's simply the need for an hour to stop, breathe and be cared for.

You may be drawn to Reiki when you're feeling overwhelmed, emotionally depleted, disconnected from yourself or simply in need of rest. Others incorporate Reiki into their personal wellness practices or seek its gentle support while moving through a difficult season of life.
People often choose Reiki for:
Deep Relaxation & Rest
A quiet space to step away from everyday demands, settle your mind and allow yourself time to simply rest and receive.
Personal Reflection & Self-Care
Intentional time devoted entirely to you, with space to pause, turn inward and care for your own well-being
Stress & Emotional Support
Time to slow down, reconnect with yourself and create some breathing room around what you've been carrying.
Support Through Life Transitions
A compassionate experience during grief, change, caregiving or other seasons that may feel emotionally demanding.
Energetic Balance
A gentle practice for feeling more grounded, centered and connected with yourself and your energy.
Support During Medical Care
Reiki may be used alongside conventional medical care as a practice focused on comfort, relaxation & emotional well-being.
Reiki is a complementary wellness practice and is not intended to diagnose, treat
or replace medical or mental health care.
