Service Description

The end of life is one of life's most tender transitions. Reiki offers a gentle, non-invasive form of support for the person nearing the end of life and for the loved ones surrounding them. This compassionate Reiki support can be provided in person or from a distance, allowing you to choose what feels most appropriate for your loved one and family. In-Home Reiki Support I'll come directly to your loved one, whether they are resting at home, receiving hospice care, or in another setting where Reiki is permitted. There is no need for them to move, prepare or participate in any particular way. I'll meet them exactly where they are. Reiki may be offered while your loved one is resting in bed, sitting comfortably in a chair, sleeping, or simply being still. The intention is not to change what is happening, but to surround your loved one with comfort, peace and compassionate support. Reiki may also help them feel more relaxed and at ease as they experience physical discomfort or pain. Distant Reiki Support When an in-person visit isn't possible or simply isn't what your family needs, Reiki can also be offered from a distance. Your loved one can remain peacefully in their own space while I provide Reiki from my healing space. They do not need to be awake or actively participate in the session. For distant sessions, I'll connect with you or a designated family member beforehand so I understand your loved one's circumstances and anything you'd like me to know. I'll also follow up afterward. Reiki can also offer a calming presence for family members and caregivers who are sitting beside someone they love. When appropriate during an in-home visit, Reiki may be shared with loved ones as part of the experience, providing a quiet moment to breathe, receive support and simply be present. As a Medical Reiki Master with experience providing Reiki during end-of-life and hospice care, I approach these visits with gentleness, respect and sensitivity to the wishes of the individual, their family and their care team. Sometimes there are no words that feel adequate. In those moments, simply being present with compassion, intention and loving support can be meaningful. Travel Information for In-Home Visits: Travel within 30 miles of Kennett Square is included. For locations beyond 30 miles, additional travel is $2 per mile. Reiki is a complementary wellness practice and does not replace hospice, palliative, medical or other professional care.
