In light of the quote, “April showers, bring May flowers” lets remember that life is about balance. I'm pretty sure everyone loves a beautiful sunny day. It's these days that make everything in your world just feel brighter and seem less drab. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and there is an overall sense of lightness in the air. But how can we possibly appreciate the sunshine, if we don't have a bit of rain sometimes.
Remember that rain is a good thing and also necessary. Rain nourishes the plants and animals, as well as washing away any impurities in our world. While you can definitely take in these words in the literal sense to receive the point, think about some of the trials and tribulations you've endured in your life. It's sometimes those dark days that can help you to fully appreciate all of your blessings.
If you can stop for a moment and look at the bigger picture in life, you may even be able to see the darkness as a blessing to things you weren't able to see before. So understand that the darkness isn't all bad, as sometimes it gives you a gift. This can be a gift of a different perspective. You just have to look for it.
I love a beautiful sun shining day just like the next person, but I also love a nice rainy day too. Sometimes I just want some me time. I use those rainy days to cleanse my being and get back to zero, if you know what I mean.
One of my favorite sayings that came from the movie The Crow, is “It can't rain all the time.” Remember that the rain tells us that the sun is just around the corner. So next time things are less than wonderful in your life, see if you can take some of the darkness you may see or feel and turn it into something light and magical!
Love and light to you!
