This article is part 4 of the series “Anger Held Within The Body Brought Me Arthritis - My Healing Journey ”. If you haven’t yet read the last one, you can find it here: Next Step, Forgive Myself! This is How I Did It! All of the work I’ve been doing diligently in the past year and a half is because I know that I’m going to need surgery at some point and that point in time was approaching sooner than anticipated. I am scared to death that if I don’t take care of all of this unfinished business from the past, the issue will come back to another place in my body, and with avengence. Boy, having had cancer sure does have a way of scaring the crap out of you. Meditation is next on my list of this healing journey. Meditation is such an amazing tool for so many things and it’s now one of the ways that I heal myself while I sleep in addition to daily/weekly meditations. Because of the daily craziness of life, I’ve been meditating for years now just to bring me back to the balance I need. If you are not aware, but I’m sure if you’re reading this, you are very aware of the many health benefits of meditation. But you can find a list here. Initially when I started meditating, I would use other people’s guided meditations that I would listen to and sometimes I’d listen to them while I slept. I loved it. I would wake up refreshed and ready to start my day. Since that time.... ![]() I’ve been creating numerous meditations for myself and started holding classes for others. Now I hold monthly Basic Meditations, Reiki Meditations, as well as Sound Infusion Meditations with my crystal singing bowls. I started creating and recording digital meditations for what began as my own personal healing but then I realized I should share them with everyone. Now you can find them on my website in a digital version. I’m a firm believer of affirmations helping to bring you to a more positive emotional state so I’ve been doing them for years as well. And I’m very always guided to reach out to Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael during my healing sessions as well as for my own needs so I started creating my own personal meditation recordings monthly. In these recordings that I listen to while I sleep are all of the affirmations to bring my emotional state where I need it to be, affirmations pertaining to healing and releasing any toxicity within my body and any goals that I had set for that month. I call it a “Retraining The Brain” of sorts. I have my own singing bowl music in the background so not only am I training my brain with my words through meditation, but I’m also receiving sound therapy and a rebalance of energy while simply listening as I sleep. If you don’t know how these bowls work, follow me as they are pretty incredible. The newest recorded meditation I’ve created for myself and have been listening to while I sleep for the past four or five months has a primary goal of helping to heal the arthritis in this hip or at the very least, keeping it at bay. Every night while in bed, I usually start out on my back listening to my meditation while I Reiki my hip until I fall asleep. My meditations always begin with breath work and grounding. I then call upon the Archangel Michael for protection while I sleep and Archangel Raphael for healing. The next part of the meditation are my affirmations for releasing the anger, forgiveness of myself, as well as releasing all toxicity in my body but especially for my arthritic hip. So this is what I’ve been listening to every night for quite a few months now. I laugh at and joke with my husband because when he builds things, his motto is that if 1 nail is good, 3 is better. Well the laugh is on me now because when it pertains to my healing, I’m no different. I’ve used so many different modalities of healing daily because I want to be the healthiest me I’ve ever been. And if one is good, then three (or five, LOL) must be better. In all honesty, I want to do this so well that I won’t need a hip replacement in the future like my surgeon said I most certainly would. And because I know that no modality of healing is one and done, I use them all daily. Also the most exciting thing I will share with you is…(SPOILER ALERT)...my surgeon did tell me after the surgery that the arthritis in my hip was not as bad as the prior scans had shown it was back in April of 2019. If that wasn’t the sweetest news I could have heard!! SUCCESS!! I have done the work and will continue to do the work to avoid needing a hip replacement! If you’re looking to start a meditation practice, you can view my monthly calendar here to see when my meditation classes are being held. And if you’re looking for your very own personal affirmation and healing meditation with all of the benefits of meditation as well as sound therapy too, please reach out to me and I can help you. You'll be seeing more in this in the upcoming months, but feel free to reach out sooner. And as always, please share this article with anyone you think may need to hear any of this! And keep your eyes peeled for the next part of my healing journey: My Reiki Healing Before, During & After Hip Surgery Love and Light to you! Nicole
