Sometimes in life, we get completely scattered. Our thoughts, emotions and even what we are doing to begin move all over the place with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes, this creates an unsettled feeling within and an inability to focus on getting things done that we set out to do. It's during times like these that we need to get ourselves back to neutral and get centered.
Centering yourself is nothing more than bringing all of your energies back to you within your entire being, connecting yourself once again to your energy. Think about the first thing one might do before a big presentation or interview. Taking a deep breath in, is sometimes what we do to prepare ourselves for something big that's about to happen. This is a person's innate ability to know exactly what they need to bring balance and centered within. The breath is what helps to bring all of your energy back within so that you can be in balance within and focus on whatever it is that needs your attention at that moment. Deep breathing is just one way to bring yourself back to center. Our breath is our life force. Breathing is what keeps us alive and most times is not even a thought, but conscious breathing helps one to center. Another way to center is to meditate using your breath for as little as three minutes, if your short on time. All of the meditations I do first begin with three slow deep breaths. You can do this in a comfortable position anywhere and just notice your breath. Notice the breath enter your body. Then notice it leaving your body. You'll find yourself in complete balance once you get accustomed to doing this. You'll also find that the rest of your day flows intentionally and with ease. Simply bring yourself back to center with your breath, whenever or wherever you need it. Bring more balance and focus to your day! Live, love and laugh every day! Nicole Lawler

You are one of a kind! No two people in the entire world are the same. Both good and bad past life experiences have made you who you are today. The good times have helped you learn happiness, compassion and love. Even the difficult and grueling times in life have taught you strength and perseverance. Be authentic to you and honor your self as the unique being that you are, flaws and all.
So often, we tend to compare ourselves to others and this is so unfair. By comparing yourself to others, you do yourself a huge injustice because again, no two people are the same. Only you know the life you've lived and the lessons in life that you've learned. No other person on this earth has lived and learned, or are still learning to follow their path exactly the way you are today. As an example, in the car dealership world, you can pick up a new car for the same price as everyone else. There's not much wiggle room when there are about a hundred of them on the lot with only one or two tiny differences. But if you're looking for a used car, you can be certain that your going to pay top dollar because there are no two used cars that are the same and the dealership know this. They play on that so that you love this car and when there are no others like it here or down the road, you'll pay more for it. You as a person are no different. Treasure yourself, your uniqueness and even your flaws, because they too, are what make you who you are. Be authentic and accepting of yourself, flaws and all. If there's something you truly want to change, then do it, but love and accept yourself in the process. No one has lived what you lived, so you've earned it! Truly, each of us is our own worst critic and it certainly takes courage and self-respect to accept ourselves completely. See your value, take responsibility for who you are, the way you live, and your own happiness! Anyone that knows me, knows that I rarely speak of God. While I believe in God and have my own belief system, I don't usually ever speak of religion. I do however, speak about healing one's life, the mind, body and spirit, as well as the healing and growth of one's soul. And to this, synchronicity often comes up. Synchronicity is a concept, introduced by Carl Jung, which holds that some events are meaningful coincidences that may occur with no relationship but are still meaningful. I believe that everyone gets lost in their journey of life sometimes but synchronicity happens to show you the way. Deep down, we all know if things are not as they should be. We all have a gut instinct, but some of us pay it no mind. I was once one of those people, and because I didn't listen to or trust my gut, my path in life continuously moved in the wrong direction and I became sick. At some point I learned the lesson and today I listen to my gut. It's through synchronicity, that we realize we are on the right path. Things that many call coincidences are the happenings to us that just feel right, feel good and bring you comfort in some way. I've just recently found my mother once again in my life after years that have gone by. We had a difficult history and are in the rebuilding phase of our lives. Today, we share things of growth and healing from past pains in our lives together that we were never able to share before. In speaking with my Mother, not too long ago, we were speaking about not living in the past or future anymore. I explained that I've learned that the past cannot be changed, and the future is not promised, so all we have it today and this moment we are currently in. In trying to heal this relationship, I did have to do the work of going through and dealing with all of my past experiences. I did this with the help of my healer and Reiki. It was a difficult time in my life, but I owned and felt my tragedies, I owned and felt all of my pain and torment, and I also owned and felt my disease of cancer. After I worked through all of my pain, I was able to forgive. I was able to forgive myself as well as others in my life. This is where the period of release happens, so then I was then given a gift. That gift is the gift of me, the “I Am”. I see the words, “I Am” as my personal reminder every day to live today and in this moment. I also use “I Am” to remember that I Am whatever it is I tell myself that I Am, so today I am kind to myself and tell myself the positive things I am. It's also my reminder to love myself, because in this very moment while typing, I Am love. I told you all of that to tell you this...In speaking with my mom today, she was so excited to read to me something that she found in her room that we were just talking about the other day. It's written below, by an unknown author. Here's my synchronicity. So take the words in whatever context you like, religious or not, but I want to share it with you. This resonates with me, not so much in a religious context, but that I AM...me! I was regretting the past and fearing the future suddenly my lord was speaking. My name is I AM. God paused, and I waited. God continued, “When you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I Was. When you live in the future with its problems and fears, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I Will Be. When you live in this moment, it is not hard. I am here. My name is I AM.” Who are YOU? And where do you live? Do you live your life in the space of this moment? If this resonates with you in any way, or you know someone that it would help to share this with, please do. If you are looking to move away from the pains of the past, traumas or illness in your life, I'm happy to help you do just that. Take the first step and live in this moment, because truly, tomorrow is not promised. And this moment is only as beautiful of a moment as you make it!!
Love and light to you! Nicole |
